Nedelle Torrisi grew up studying the violin and voice, and performing in musicals. She attended Berklee College of Music on a jazz vocal scholarship, and completed her Bachelor of Arts at San Francisco State University. As a solo artist, Nedelle has released multiple albums of her own material on respected independent labels. With her previous band Cryptacize, she has released two albums with Sufjan Stevens’ Asthmatic Kitty label.

Nedelle also spent time as a background vocalist/instrumentalist for Stevens in support of his Age of Adz album, and is featured on his albums Carrie and Lowell and Javelin. (More career details at Wikipedia.)

Currently Nedelle works as Development Manager and Producer for Brooklyn-based theatre company, En Garde Arts.

She is a member of the BMI Musical Theater Workshop, and is developing a musical based on a viral Twitter thread in which a person places last in fantasy football, and agrees to spend 24 hours in a diner as punishment.
